One engineer. Full-system thinking.
abatchan is my independent digital engineering studio, based in Nigeria and working globally. I build connected digital systems from interface to infrastructure.
The studio is abatchan, also written Abat Chan. My legal name is Akinyugha Babajide Mathew, so clients and platforms know me as Abat, Akinyugha and Mathew. All four names are the same person, which is worth saying out loud if you have read the client reviews.
The work sits between interface and infrastructure. That means understanding what users touch, what teams operate, what data moves, and what technical layer keeps the whole thing reliable.
Connected by default.
I design products as complete workflows, not isolated pages, plugins, or endpoints.
Clarity over theatre.
No vague transformation talk. You should be able to see the problem, understand the architecture, and inspect what was delivered.
Built to operate.
The work is not done when a screen looks finished. It is done when the full workflow holds up in real use.
Scale with intention.
Technical decisions should support the actual stage of the product while leaving a clean path forward.
Design, code, connect.
WordPress, Shopify, React, product interfaces, plugins, APIs, automation platforms, operational tooling, and custom system development.
Product and UI engineering
Responsive systems with clean information hierarchy and meaningful interaction.
Plugins and application code
Custom behaviour shaped around the actual workflow rather than template limits.
APIs and automation
Services, data, and operational actions connected into visible flows.
Infrastructure thinking
Architecture that stays maintainable, testable, and ready to grow.
